Twenty-one years ago today, Stevie Ray Vaughan played at a huge concert in (and outside) the Houston Astrodome in Texas, and photographer Tracy Anne Hart captured the moment in her triptych series titled, Texas Flood.
"The three photos were captured during the guitar solo of the song "Texas Flood" and are taken from one strip of six 35mm negatives. Stevie picked the three images off of my contact sheet himself. I almost lost the two rolls of black and white I shot, I found them about a week later in a pocket in my big camera bag!"
It's rare to find a photographer so dedicated to a single subject like Tracy, and her dedication to documenting SRV places her into this unique position of having one of the largest original photo collections of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Each limited edition poster is printed on Entrada Rag Natural or Somerset Photo and can purchased directly from Tracy's website.
